Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Devon and Cornwall.

Reducing Drug and Alcohol-Related ASB Our focus includes tackling incidents linked to drug and alcohol misuse that negatively impact residents and public spaces. Reducing Antisocial Vehicle Use We have received multiple reports regarding the antisocial use of vehicles and e-bikes. We aim to reduce these behaviours through education, engagement, and enforcement where necessary. Improving Road Safety Around Local Schools Parking and traffic congestion near local schools have been raised as concerns. We are utilising data from multiple sources to identify and address prolific offenders, ensuring effective use of ASB legislation to reduce ongoing issues. Our officers work closely with partner agencies to deliver coordinated responses to the priorities outlined above. We also aim to educate e-bike users on responsible riding behaviour; however, where necessary, we have seized vehicles in accordance with current legislation. Targeted patrols are ongoing to address drug and alcohol-related offences. We make full use of our stop and search powers and respond proactively to intelligence reports.
