Tamerton Foliot

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Devon and Cornwall.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

We have been informed that there has been an increase in ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) in Southway especially around the shopping precinct and the route between there and the Community Hub.

Issued 10 January 2026

Southway Neighbourhood Policing Team are aware that anti-social behaviour can have a serious impact on a community, causing fear, anxiety, and isolation. We are working closely with the Community Connections department of PCC and our own Child Centred Policing Team in order to address this issue.
• We have jointly conducted an Op Vocal within the area, speaking to shop workers about the things they have having to put up with, how it is affecting them and how we can tackle this problem.
• We have managed to secure CCTV equipment which we hope to be installed in the very near future to monitor and assist in identifying those responsible.
• Crime prevention advice has been given and we have requested any relevant CCTV be saved and sent to the police.
• We are patrolling the area as often as duties allow making this a priority for the local team.
• We will be dealing robustly with those identified as causing the issues and have already issued ASB level 1 warnings and will seek to escalate if necessary through the following steps, Level 2 warnings, with partners agencies involved, and then Community Protection Warnings and Community Protection Notices issued through the court, to individuals where there are conditions put in place for that person not to be in company with others and banning them from certain areas.

Actioned 10 January 2026
