Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

SCHOOL PARKING

Our local team has stepped up foot patrols around schools to help keep everyone safe. Unfortunately, some parents and carers continue to park inconsiderately and dangerously, including on double yellow lines, zig-zags, and pavements. While we always aim to educate drivers first, we have had to move vehicles and will issue penalty notices to frequent offenders. The safety of our children remains our top priority—please help us keep the school environment safe for all. Thank you for your cooperation.

SHOPLIFTING CROWNHILL & FROGMORE

Our local team has been actively addressing shoplifting concerns in Crownhill Village and Frogmore Co-op. Through regular patrols, close collaboration with store staff, and targeted visits, we have made significant progress in reducing theft in these areas. The introduction of the PARC scheme (Plymouth Against Retail Crime) is helping us strengthen these efforts, and we hope it will continue to reduce the shoplifting trend in the area. We remain committed to working with the community and local businesses.

Reducing Antisocial Vehicle Use
We have received multiple reports regarding the antisocial use of vehicles and e-bikes on and around the Novarosik road area. We aim to reduce these behaviours through education, engagement, and enforcement where necessary

Addressing Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) and Associated Crime in Plymouth North
We are committed to working in partnership with local agencies and the community to deliver sustainable, long-term solutions to issues affecting Plymouth North.

Issued 18 January 2026

The Plymouth North Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to conduct regular patrols, both in uniform and plain clothes, targeting areas identified through community feedback and intelligence.
