Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Addressing Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) and Associated Crime in Plymouth North
We are committed to working in partnership with local agencies and the community to deliver sustainable, long-term solutions to issues affecting Plymouth North.
Reducing Drug and Alcohol-Related ASB
Our focus includes tackling incidents linked to drug and alcohol misuse that negatively impact residents and public spaces.

Reducing Antisocial Vehicle Use
We have received multiple reports regarding the antisocial use of vehicles and e-bikes. We aim to reduce these behaviours through education, engagement, and enforcement where necessary.

Improving Road Safety Around Local Schools
Parking and traffic congestion near local schools have been raised as concerns. We are working collaboratively to identify practical and lasting solutions to ensure the safety of children, parents, and residents

Issued 18 January 2026

The Plymouth North Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to conduct regular patrols, both in uniform and plain clothes, targeting areas identified through community feedback and intelligence. Enforcement action is taken where appropriate.

We are utilising data from multiple sources to identify and address prolific offenders, ensuring effective use of ASB legislation to reduce ongoing issues.

Our officers work closely with partner agencies to deliver coordinated responses to the priorities outlined above. We also aim to educate e-bike users on responsible riding behaviour; however, where necessary, we have seized vehicles in accordance with current legislation.

Retail Theft – Priority

How we are addressing this: Community events, liaise with staff about report these offences, crime prevention discussion and patrol around the high traffic retail areas, including Derriford Retail Park and Marsh Mills.

Youth ASB
this is something that is a priority all year round, as we know ASB spikes and then there is a period where ASB incidents decline. There is currently no major ASB issues raised by the community on our patch. However, when ASB issues are raised, we prioritise getting positive ID of all individuals, issue ASB1 and if necessary ASB2, Liaise with parents and schools. Early youth intervention is a priority to prevent escalation of ASB within the community.
