Higher Compton & Mannamead

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Devon and Cornwall.

ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR-DEWI SANT CARE HOME (CLOSED)
BURGLARY SPREE-THORN PARK/MANNAMEAD

The team are continuing Hi Visibility patrols of the location to deter ASB and other criminal activity at and around the Dewi Sant Care Home.
Ongoing enquiries relating to this involves engaging partner agencies to form problem solving plan around the security of the building and forward planning and intentions of it. This is an ongoing priority.
Good use of the Social Media platforms relating to raising community awareness of this issue is being utilised by the team, and will continue whilst issue remains live.

A recent spree of burglary (garages) at the Thorn Park/Mannamead location has resulted in the team conducting some increased hi-visibility patrols at the location, with community awareness being raised on our social media platforms foe community awareness. Ongoing enquiries are progressing to successfully apprehend the suspect(s).
The team aim to provide community re-assurance through OP VOCAL patrols, use of the police DC ALERT/Community Messaging and Social Media for this and any other issues that emerge.
