Efford

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Devon and Cornwall.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Youth Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

Issued 03 August 2026

The Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to identify, prevent and address incidents of youth-related anti-social behaviour that negatively impact local communities. We will work proactively with partner agencies, schools, youth services and local residents to engage with young people, provide early intervention where appropriate, and take proportionate enforcement action against those responsible for persistent or harmful behaviour. Through high-visibility patrols, community engagement and targeted problem-solving, we aim to reduce reports of ASB, improve public confidence and make our neighbourhoods safer places to live, work and visit

Motorcycle-Related Theft and Anti-Social Riding

Issued 03 August 2026

The Neighbourhood Policing Team will prioritise tackling motorcycle-related theft and anti-social riding through a combination of targeted enforcement, crime prevention and partnership working. We will focus on identifying offenders involved in the theft of motorcycles and the use of motorcycles in an anti-social or dangerous manner, using intelligence-led patrols, proactive operations and engagement with local communities. Working alongside partner agencies, we will seek to prevent offending, disrupt criminal activity and provide crime prevention advice to owners. Our aim is to reduce motorcycle-related crime, improve road safety and minimise the impact that anti-social riding has on residents and visitors
