Totnes Town
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Devon and Cornwall.

The Totnes team have already started carrying out patrols of known hot spots where drug use has been habitually used in the past. This will continue, looking to identify individuals using and selling controlled drugs in Totnes Town and surrounding villages. Actioned 03 October 2025 |

There has been a recent increase in ASB, including criminal damage in Totnes. This has ranged from the vandalism of the new E-bikes located in Bridgetown and throwing life saving equipment into the river Dart on Vire Island. Issued 30 September 2025 |
Patrols have increased during the evenings and weekends in Totnes Town and Totnes Neighbourhood Team have a meeting with South Hams District Council to try and find a safe location for the E bikes in Bridgetown where we can try to stop the needless vandalism and have the bikes available for the community to use. A recent increase in theft of motor vehicles (mopeds/motorbikes/quads) has been identified. (Sep 25). The local neighbourhood team will be focusing our response to the series through crime prevention and investigation. Issued 25 September 2025 |
