Dartmouth Town

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Devon and Cornwall.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Positive action against Drugs

Issued 23 June 2026

We remain committed to tackling drug supply issues in Dartmouth & the wider area by developing intelligence and taking actions through warrants and arrests: please help us to continue this by submitting intelligence via the online reporting portal or our Neighbourhood email address NPS-totnesanddartmouth@devonandcornwall.police.uk

Actioned 23 September 2026

Positive action against dangerous drivers.

Issued 23 June 2026

We continue to receive information and complaints about anti social driving within the town and surrounding villages. Those drivers that put others at risk by drink driving, drug driving, or dangerous driving will be targeted to keep the roads safer for everyone else.

Actioned 23 September 2026

Increased visibility of local police officers.

Issued 28 March 2026

We know the public want to see uniformed police officers and PCSO's out and about on foot more: this is a clear aim over the Summer for us: it helps to drive down poor behaviour, helps the communities we police engage with us better and reassures the public.
