Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Devon and Cornwall.

DRUG SUPPLY Issued 01 January 2026 |
Illicit drug supply networks often involve the exploitation of the most vulnerable in society and increases wider crime and violence, which devastates our communities. We will continue to identify those at risk of exploitation and ensure they receive the best support possible, whilst relentlessly pursuing and arresting those criminals at all levels, from the local dealer, to those who control and hold drug lines, and organised crime groups. Actioned 01 September 2026 |

RETAIL CRIME / SHOPLIFTING Issued 01 January 2026 |
Working with retailers and the public, as well as using target hardening to prevent shoplifting, but where it does occur, using streamlined processes and new technology to detect and prosecute offenders. In particular, we will target prolific shoplifters, bringing them to justice and utilising the full range of sanctions at our disposal to prevent recidivism. Actioned 01 September 2026 |

ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR Issued 01 January 2026 |
Using regular patrols, beat surgeries and local meetings to identify areas where ASB occurs and taking a holistic approach, including preventative measures, as well as the full range of sanctions available under ASB legislation, to deal with it, where it does happen. Actioned 01 September 2026 |
