Appeal following assault in Truro

We are appealing for witnesses, phone and CCTV footage following an assault in Truro.

We have received a report of a man headbutting a woman by the benches on Lemon Quay at around 2.05pm on Sunday 7 June.

Following the matter being reported to us, officers arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He remains in police custody at this time.

Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have filmed it to get in touch.

We are also particularly keen to hear from people with home or business CCTV overlooking the bench area and are asking them to check their footage and report anything relevance to us.
