UPDATE | Serious injury collision, near Barnstaple

A man has died following a single-vehicle collision near Barnstaple.

Emergency services were called at around 8.20am on Friday 22 May, to an unnamed road between Filliegh and Swimbridge to a serious collision which involved a Honda motorcycle.

The motorbike rider, a 63-year-old man from Swimbridge, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.

Officers were notified that he has since died of his injuries. His next of kin have been informed.

We are continuing to appeal for information and dashcam footage following the incident.
