Police would like to make you aware there has been an increase in Courier Fraud in the area. This is typically where a fraudster will phone you, claiming to be a police officer or from your bank, to say your card has been used fraudulently. Should you receive a call of this nature, hang up. If you are worried about the call, don’t call back on the same phone. Go to a friend’s house or call a friend to clear the line - the fraudsters can’t impersonate someone you know. Should you receive similar contact, please report this to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040, or online at www.actionfraud.police.uk For crime prevention advice please see the Devon and Cornwall Police website here Courier fraud | Devon & Cornwall Police . Please also find attached our guidance and information on Courier Fraud. | ||
